I have a stack of various shaped canvases that are partially painted, primed or finished and not quite right or I’ve lost inspiration, momentum, who knows. Last night, I took a stack of these abandoned little guys and painted over them to give them new life. So much fun!!! Painting over a canvas has always felt a little “uh-oh” to me, but I’m learning from several artists, that it is fact, liberating, and one of the best ways to start a new direction. So, here’s the first re-paint–not sure what lived under it but one of my favorite icons, vintage Royal typewriters decided to pay a visit. Here’s to recycling. “Aqua Royal”, 8×10″, acrylic on canvas. xo
