I called this painting “Chanel Red” but my inner lip syncer really wants to call it “I Wear My Sunglasses At Night” (so I can…so I can….). I am Canadian after all!! Corey Hart practically raised us.
Whether you’ve got this song stuck in your head now or you’re in love with the other subject, which I also love, Chanel Red Lipstick, either good. I love makeup but don’t actually have a ton. I travel a lot and have a thing where I like my cosmetic bag to be compact and resemble exactly what I use at home so I tend to rebuy exactly the same thing when it runs out. Except lipstick! Why do I feel this promise or hope that THIS lip gloss will change it all? Because….it might?
Here’s the good news. My first ever Chanel Red Lipstick was purchased this year (and is this tube) and I LOVE IT. It’s quite possibly the perfect red, perfect consistency, somewhere between a gloss and a matte and lasts for hours without feeling like you’ve got a zinc coating on your lips. I guess the hullaballoo is true! It’s an icon for a reason.
And it makes such a pretty painting model. xo
