Hello there! It’s Saturday afternoon mid February and it’s more spring than winter here, we’ll call it Fring (False Spring). There’s been so many birds and butterflies, blossoms and branches and all things chinoisserie patterns on my easel these days. I wish I could bottle the muse with appropriate labels for future use or at least understand it but…no. She comes and goes, has ideas that have nothing to do with common sense or what I “should” be painting but I’ve also been doing this long enough that I go with the flow now.
I’ve just sent half a dozen paintings to elizabethW in Carmel (you guessed it, a collection of parakeets, birds, blossoms and branches…) and I’m told they look very spring like and pretty. It feels good to be painting consistently.
The other busy project is developing a variety of new products for Carpe Diem Papers. Some are up and available now (lots of new postcards), some are coming just around the corner (stay tuned!)
Hope everyone is staying creative, healthy and inspired! xo
